Cell Phones Suck in Argentina, Too

This morning I came across a ranking of official complaints to Consumer Protection in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It shows the percentage of complaints by industry.
As you’ll notice, cell phone companies have more than twice as many complaints as home appliances (which is #3 after the catch-all “other”).

motorola audex jacket: can you say ‘instant laughingstock’?

look at this jacket (go ahead, laugh). it is ridiculous-looking. who in their right mind is going to want to wear it?
the motorola audex jacket is an “i love the 2000s” instant hit. i mean, you could make a VH1 “i love 2006″ right now, and this jacket could be […]

now someone has decided your pet should believe in santa claus.

Santa Claws® In-Store Photo Event. Visit a PetSmart store near you for pet photos with Santa Claws.

when will enough be enough for people? it started out innocently, i suppose:

you are time magazine’s ‘person of the year’

congratulations. you narrowly beat out the likes of mahmoud ahmadinejad, kim jung il, and donald rumsfeld. don’t you feel special?
UPDATE - interested participant’s post on time’s ‘person of the year’ choice has to be the best:

Isiah Thomas: Brawler

Then: Pistons bad boy.
Now: brawl instigating coach.
Color me unsurprised.
UPDATE: Fellow brawler Jermaine O’Neal, whose right hook rivals Melo’s, weighed in later in the same article.
“Listen, the NHL lets them fight. Fights happen in baseball. Fights happen in football,” Indiana forward Jermaine O’Neal said. “Why are we under scrutiny about our game?“

christmas 2004 ‘most retarded quotation’ revisited

date: two years ago, yesterday.
subject: an atheist criticizing christmas celebrations in public schools.
result: one of the most enjoyable times i’ve had in an online discussion, to date. find it below this post at provo pulse.
i am still a little embarrassed i made such a big deal about the quotation being retarded, when i […]

Verizon Employees: Dumber Than Dumb

This is unreal. Verizon has some the dimmest bulbs in America working at their call centers.
Background: this poor cell phone customer tries to explain the difference between .002 cents and .002 dollars.
Kudos if you can make it through all 22 minutes…it’s tough, but worth a few laughs.
The supervisor who is on for most of […]

Please Get Well Soon, Senator Johnson

I don’t know much about Senator Tim Johnson, aside from the fact that I wish John Thune would have taken his Senate seat back in 2002.
Well, Senator Johnson is now in the hospital. In surgery. Brain surgery.
Sen. Tim Johnson of South Dakota was undergoing brain surgery early Thursday at George Washington University Hospital […]

Convert to Judaism, Fight AIDS

Apparently the old law isn’t such bad advice after all.
Although, if we (the human race) just decided to obey #7 then AIDS wouldn’t be such a pressing, serious problem.
Update: And now (February 23, 2007) there is this news -
Scientists say conclusive data shows there is no question circumcision reduces men’s chances of catching HIV by […]
