What is the word I’m looking for?
…oh yeah, STUPID.
To be fair, dumb, selfish, and dangerous would work too.
Groom With TB Under Federal Quarantine:
The man, however, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that doctors didn’t order him not to fly and only suggested he put off his long-planned wedding in Greece. He knew he had a form of tuberculosis and that it was resistant […]
Pimp My Spacecraft
John Kerry emerges from his newly renovated sub-orbital spacecraft.
Apparently Kerry’s 2004 campaign owes some money:
John Kerry spent $1.4 million more than federal rules allowed during his 2004 presidential bid, primarily on customizing two campaign planes, according to a draft audit by the Federal Election Commission.
If the commissioners approve the staff findings at a meeting […]

Unos ejemplos de la nueva programación de TVES, reemplazante de RCTV.
Hugo Chavez Fan: Stephen Lendman
As a quick example (perhaps a regular feature?) we offer you exhibit A: Chavista useful idiot, Stephen Lendman.
Here are two articles that he’s published in just the past twenty days:
May 9, 2007 - Criminalizing Speech - The War on Free Expression
In a post-9/11 climate, the right of free expression is under attack and endangered in […]
Venezuela to sue CNN
Hugo Chavez is nutty. [editor: insert the “if it wasn’t so sad it would be funny” cliche here]
The “Information Minister” has announced that Venezuela will sue CNN because the news network linked Chavez to al-Qaeda. CNN responded by saying that “unrelated news stories can be juxtaposed in a given program segment just as […]
Alternative to the NBA lottery
An interesting idea from Mark Cuban.
Replace the lottery with a simple better team record or coin flip based on conference standings. In other words, for the last two teams in each conference , the team with the better record gets the first pick. If its a tie, there is a coinflip. The next to last […]
Memorial Day
Remembering those who paid the ultimate price.
Hugo Chavez and his useful idiots
The American Left’s love affair with Hugo Chavez has always been a mystery to me. Chavez supporters here in the U.S. are either totalitarian leaning lefties or useful idiots of the highest order (or both).
How anyone can whine like a toddler about George Bush and then embrace Chavez is astounding.
Venezuelan TV station goes off […]
Did I miss something?
Is it April 1st?
Can this be real?!?!
Death Penalty Takes 2 Hours
Just back from important medical duties, Dr. Richard Kimball emails:
Death is always sad. Sometimes undeserved, sometimes needed. But this is just funny.
http://www.cnn.com/2007/LAW/05/25/ohio.execution.ap/index.html
From CNN we read about the botched lethal injection that took over two hours to administer:
Death penalty opponents called on the state to halt executions after prison staff struggled to find suitable […]
Stop SIDA
Seen at the Salt Lake City airport:
American Idol ratings are dropping
Drudge has this on his front page:
FADING FINISH: ‘IDOL’ RATINGS DROP 8% IN WEEK… 14.7 RATING/23 SHARE FOR FOX SHOW, DOWN FROM LAST TUESDAY’S 15.5/25… SHOW HAS LOST RATINGS FROM WEEK-TO-WEEK FOR LAST 3 OUTINGS…
No surprise here. People stopped watching when Sanjaya got voted off.
Initial Debate Reaction
I thought all the candidates were (at least marginally) better than the last debate, most of them were much better. This says more about Chris Matthews than anyone else, I think.
“Like John Edwards in a beauty shop…”
Mike Huckabee talking about spending restraint saying that we should not be spending money “like John Edwards in a beauty shop.”
Not a particularly substantive statement, I suppose, but I think it will probably be the line of the night. Got a long ovation from the audience.
Fred Thompson responds to Michael Moore - video
Michael Moore challenged Fred Thompson to a debate.
Fred Thompson responds:
