Forget Iran
What about Pakistan?
Gregory Scoblete posits that we should forget Iran for a minute and worry about Pakistan.
While the 2008 presidential candidates are busy fielding questions about how they would confront Iran’s nuclear ambitions, few seem interested in addressing a much more pressing issue: Pakistan.

Safari browser on Windows XP and Vista
The web browser “war” just got more interesting!
Steve Jobs just announced that Apple will release a Windows version of their browser, Safari.
Update: I downloaded it, installed it, and…it really, really stinks. Wow. I can’t believe they announced this like it was a big deal. Browsing the comments of other blogs it appears [...]

Greek Pasta Salad - Recipe
I made this Greek pasta salad for my brother’s wedding reception (three huge buckets full of pasta salad…hmmmmm).
I omitted the pepperoni.
Delicious!

Messi = Maradona; Hand of God II - video
Lionel Messi is really becoming Diego Maradona. First the amazing goal against Getafe and now Mano de Dios II.
After reading about this goal on La Nacion on Saturday, I checked YouTube but there weren’t any videos available. Now there are. Thanks to Briant for the reminder!

top five illegal immigration solutions
i wrote this semi tongue in cheek post in june 2006, but it is timely again in 2007. i will publish my completely serious, not-even-cracking-a-smile post soon. until then, here are my top five illegal immigration solutions.

Che Guevara: Homophobe.
If this doesn’t get nutty leftist professors and idiotic college students to start hating the world’s greatest t-shirt salesman…well, nothing will.
He’s the ultimate symbol of radical chic but was Che Guevara really a homophobic, racist square who personally ordered the jailing and executions of innocent men, women and children?
That’s according to Humberto Fontova, the author [...]

Fidel Castro: Fashionista? No.
From Foreign Policy’s blog:
Friend: What’s the deal with Fidel Castro?
Me: What about him?
Friend: For decades, all he wears are drab, olive fatigues or uniforms. Then he gets sick, and now he’s wearing tracksuits?
Me: Yeah. So?
Friend: That’s just wrong. Who does he think he is? Snoop Dogg?
¡Ganamos!

Why the GOP will probably win in 2008
Barring a third-party candidate, this issue could very well keep the Republicans in the White House in 2008.
As always, Obama wants to join hands and have a kumbaya sing-along.
Hillary throws in the canard about hospitals not having translators.
But everybody on that stage except for Gravel is out to lunch (never thought I’d say that). [...]
