well said, bnice. several commentators have said romney won nevada because of the mormon vote. one said he won because mormons "dominate" the caucuses there. yet according to the numbers, they're only 20% or so of the caucuses. now, tell me, has there been a single state so far where evangelicals are LESS than 20% of the republican vote so far? yet before huck fell way flat with them in south carolina, nobody was talking about it. all they talked about was his "inexplicable surge."

and when romney didn't win new hampshire, people said it was his "back yard." hey, how about nevada butting up against arizona, where john mccain has been a congressman for a quarter of a century?

as far as i can tell, not a single commentator has mentioned that fact, or the fact that romney, huckabee and mccain were close there until a few days before nevada, when romney ran away with the vote in a huge victory.

when you talk about who spent most, i do have to give chris matthews / softball / msnbc credit for pointing out that rudy giuliani did well over 100 events in new hampshire, before pulling out and saying he didn't care about doing well in the state. he got 9% of the vote. contrast this to the media's treatment of mitt romney and the money he's spent. also on softball, the show reported that the giuliani camp spent $49 million and only scored one delegate. don't go get the calculator, here's the math: that means giuliani paid $49 million per delegate. nobody talks about that.

the media always cooks up lame reasons to explain why Romney's wins are insignificant. Wyoming: "No one cares." Michigan: "His home state." Nevada: "Lots of Mormons." You don't hear as much about McCain only wins in states where independents can vote.

When Mitt loses, they also come up with reasons why it should be the end of his campaign. Iowa: "He outspent Huckabee 10000 to 1." New Hampshire: "Losing in a neighbor state where you were governor means you are a loser." (how many of us can name the governors of neighboring states?) South Carolina: "Wow, Mitt is really lacking the redneck vote. If only he wasn't a member of a cult, he might have a chance."

Lastly, why hasn't the dreaded flip-flopper brand been posted on Huckabee and McCain for their changes on immigration and tax cuts?

Also, no one has reported on the latest Rasmussen poll putting Romney 5 points ahead of McCain and others. All they talk about is the "dead heat" in Florida.

Excellent video by Joe Scarborough...he nailed it when he said, "The story that hasn't been told by the national press is that McCain has lost among republicans everywhere. He is heading into states where independents and democrats can't save him."
