"we speak for all black people"

NAACP President Kweisi Mfume is all hot and bothered that many of the Democratic candidates for President are reluctant to appear together in a debate style format at the NAACP's national convention.

You can read the entire article by clicking here.

My favorite ditty that Mfume profers is:

''If you can't come to the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization's national conference to lay out what you believe in and the direction you think our country should go in, you certainly have no legitimacy going into black communities asking for votes."

What a better way to demonstrate the absolute pompous arrogance that dominates liberal, black leadership. "Hey...we alone speak for ALL blacks."

Nonetheless, I suspect the real reason that Mfume and Co. and so bent out of shape is that they were counting on having "The Reverend" Al Sharpton dominate any debate-type session by yelling one-liners like "Disenfranshisement!" to the wild jeers of a Jerry Springer-esque crowd.
