Barry Bonds Used Steroids
His grand jury testimony has been leaked.
My favorite part (emphasis mine):
Bonds told the federal grand jury last year that Greg Anderson, his personal trainer, told him the substances he used in 2003 were the nutritional supplement flaxseed oil and a rubbing balm for arthritis, according to a transcript of his testimony reviewed by the Chronicle.…
Sheffield testified to the grand jury that Bonds arranged for Anderson to give Sheffield “the clear,” “the cream,” and another steroid from Mexico, but also said he did not know they were steroids, the Chronicle reported.
Which makes me wonder what interested Sheffield in the first place…
Gary: Man Barry…you’re getting huge…who’s your personal trainer?
Barry: Oh this guy Anderson helps me out.
Gary: Really? You’re not juicing are you?
Barry: Heck no, I’m on flaxseed oil and use a crazy-cool arthritis rubbing cream. Builds muscle mass in no time…amazing stuff!

bring on the asterisks. too bad that many players who set real records (won with actual work and real talent) have already had their marks eclipsed by these billowing michelin men.
I believe Barry Bonds is using the excuse that he has a bad knee and needs 3 operations to stay away and avoid being tested. If he wanted to have his name cleared, he would likely come forward and request to be tested. If he did and he came clean we would not be talking about including astericts in the record books.
Plain and simple the guy is a CHEAT. If you are a 40 years old professional baseball player with most of your career behind you, would you remove yourself from the game you love and are having quantum success in, unless………….
there was a greater more demanding reason, such as flushing out the “cream”.
James, he’s tested even though he’s on the DL, so if he’s not playing to “flush the cream” out of his system, he’d be better served pulling a Raffy and padding his records while he’s doing so, wouldn’t you think?
The DL lists would be overlowing if this was some sort of loophole in the policy.
Frank Thomas has had similar problems staying off the DL this year and like Raffy he has Congress’ seal of approval for being a drug-free, steroid fighter.
If I was a bettin man I would say he used them.
The sad fact is innocent until proven guilty. That is sad because his name will be in the record books for whatever he breaks and he MAY be guilty.

[...] his cheating is 1000 times worse than barry bonds‘ because, unlike bonds’ teams, belichick’s teams have won championships. an astonishing 3 in the last 5 years or something like that. if the league determines they cheated in any of those seasons, they should be stripped of their titles and those involved should be kicked out of the sport forever. New England beat the New York Jets in last Sunday’s season opener in which an on-field video camera allegedly focusing on Jets coaches was confiscated from a Patriots employee. [...]
