Ron Paul’s Fund Raising Doubled in Quarter
By SUSAN DAVIS
October 4, 2007; Page A6WASHINGTON — Rep. Ron Paul disclosed more than $5 million in third-quarter fund raising for his insurgent Republican presidential bid, the only Republican in the field so far to report increased donations. [source: WSJ]
and in sports news, a 400-pound smoker, whose regular time running the mile is about half an hour, went up against a bunch of track and field stars, all of whom regularly run the mile in four minutes or less. amazingly, while none of the track and field stars increased their mile times, the smoking whale man decided to take one less cigarette break on the third lap, decreasing his overall time significantly. this is definitely news!
ron paul’s increased fundraising means about as much as the fat man’s record mile time. try multiplying $0 by 2 and you’ll pretty much see what i’m talking about.

I think that his take of $5 million in the 3rd quarter is extremely impressive compared to other heavy hitting republicans.
However, I agree that it is going to do him any good. He simply can’t win…he is not eloquent enough, among other things…
Is it just me or does Ron Paul come off as the stereotypical “cranky old man” in the debates. He’s against everything and for very little.
It’s too bad because libertarian ideas could use a competent spokesman. We need someone who is willing to slash and burn the federal budget.
Not eloquent enough. hahahahha. Leave eloquent to the SOAP OPERA ACTORS. Ron Paul has real ideas that will change this country for the better. Ron Paul CAN win, you just have to vote for him.
Doug and Ryan know nothing about what’s REALLY going on in the world.
Skip, if Paul doesn’t communicate smoothly with people on TV, he is not going to get elected, no matter how good the ideas.
Note also that I added that he is “not eloquent enough, among other things…“
Are you kidding me!
Ron Paul is the champion of the constitution and he backs that claim everytime he confronts the other candidates.
The man is the only one speaking the truth about the debasment of our currency and the true “War on terror”. “Cranky” I dont think is the word for it, “Brilliant” seems to be more sufficient.
Sometimes, in order to wake people up.. you have to debate with emotion. This is the emotion of someone telling the truth, and being discredited for it. It sickens me to hear this type of diatribe towards Ron Paul when the man is fighting for our personal liberties
