A Tribute to The Legacy of Mitch Hedberg
This comment was left on the blog a couple days ago, on an old post that we had about the passing of Mitch Hedberg.
In the last few months I have spent a LOT of time in my car travelling back and forth to my folks house. My Mother was diagnosed in mid-November with Stage IV […]
Reagan Nostalgia
While it’s easy to grow weary of the “Reagan, Reagan, Reagan…” mantra that has been repeated over and over and over again by the current crop of candidates, we should remember why Reagan is so revered.
Veterans Day
Memorial Day
Remembering those who paid the ultimate price.
as long as i’m disclosing my man crushes….
i also think very highly of the golden state warriors.
lee jenkins of the nytimes has written a great article on the team’s improbable last two months, in which they have gone from 26-35 to just squeaking into the playoffs to knocking off the team with the 6th best regular season record in NBA history. […]

She completely dominates the sport a few years ago, seemingly grows tired of it, is injured most of last year and then comes back to win the Australian Open as an unseeded player, crushing Maria Sharapova in the […]
Cal Ripken Elected to Hall of Fame
One of my childhood heroes and favorite baseball player of all-time, Cal Ripken, was elected to the Hall of Fame on Tuesday.
Aside from being a revolutionary shortstop and all-around awesome ball player, he lived a life of honor in the public eye. I’m not sure anyone is more deserving of a place at Cooperstown.
Alejandro Rozitchner: Pensar para hacer
The Argentine thinker/philosopher/commentator Alejandro Rozitchner has a new book out, Pensar para hacer. You can read the prologue here (in Spanish).
If it is even half as good as Ideas Falsas then it will be an excellent read. Unfortunately, I may have to wait until I’m in Argentina to pick it up (I don’t […]
