Genetically modified corn is toxic
From Scientific American, via Slashdot:
Environmental group Greenpeace launched a fresh attack on genetically modified maize developed by U.S. biotech giant Monsanto, saying on Tuesday that rats fed on one version developed liver and kidney problems.
Greenpeace said a study it had commissioned that was published in the journal Archives of Environmental Contamination and Technology showed rats [...]

Gmail Problems
On the heels of announcing their new “Premium” Google Apps package, Google is suffering through major Gmail issues today.

The $30 million lawsuit accused the site of having no measures to protect children [...]

Twice in the last week I’ve gone searching for “conversations” in Gmail and have been unable to find them. When I fire up Mozilla Thunderbird (where I keep a backup of my Gmail email) I am able to locate the emails without any problem.
Not good.
Is Blogger the marijuana of the blogosphere?
That’s what this guy seems to think, and I wholeheartedly agree.
Blogger with its minimal barrier to entering the world of self-publishing helps people understand the pleasures of blogging. Then it frustrates us with service outages, bad customer service, and the inability to backup data and years of work. Then we discover there is a world [...]
