datelance.com and the i-15 billboard
first, check out this story.
So, what is behind the billboard ad campaign? Apparently, Archibald has come down with a case of Steve Young Syndrome: He’s 31, very eligible, bumping around Utah Valley, but — gasp — he’s UNMARRIED!
His friends and co-workers at LogoWorks secured the billboard ad space as part of a campaign replete with a Web site — www.datelance.com…
i can think of four possible quips.
(1) after this, he’ll be under a lot of pressure to propose at a sold-out sporting event, getting the whole thing broadcast onto the teletron. otherwise, you know, the relationship would be incongruous.
(2) the billboard lists several of lance’s qualities, such as “ex-BYU basketball player,” “harvard MBA,” and “loves kids.” missing from the billboard: lance HAS NOT won the tour de france 7 times. sorry girls!
(3) he’s in marketing. i’m sure it will kill him on those first dates to keep from handing out some sort of survey, “where did you hear about me? (check one)”
( ) word of mouth
( ) datelance.com website
( ) internet search engine
( ) known since pre-existence
( ) highway billboard
(4) “yeah, this will be an event that i conveniently neglect to mention during my daily task of explaining to someone outside of utah how mormons are not (actually) that weird.”

A fellow Marylander!
Anyways, this guy’s dad is the CEO of Black and Decker, I wonder if he chipped into buying the billboard space.
who knows? but you’d like to think a CEO would have some class…
either way, i’ll bet you pops chipped in for the harvard degree.
anyone with those qualifications doesnt need a billboard to get married unless they are a social disaster/too picky. maybe being from maryland has a lot to do with it. i enjoyed the sample survey questions. 5+5=a-e(d*t)
He’s a funny man! A funny, funny man!
do you mean funny ha-ha or funny in the brain?
Don’t you know funny is a euphemism for “completely homosexual?”
Check the reaction video out.
It seems pretty obvious from looking at the site, that LogoWorks is activly attempting to get people interested enough in working for them that they’ll overlook the fact that you’d have to move to Utah.
Perhaps one of their benefits of employment is a mass marketed dating scheme for employees?
I need friends like these. How can I get a billboard, sandwich board, or magizine insert to match me up with someone who can actually handle my personality.? Sometimes friendly people need extra help. The search for love & happiness is ages old. Good luck to us all.
Oh, stop hating! I thought it was so nice to have friends like that and wished I’d come up wih the idea.
