debate roundup: sucky moderators

in an entry titled, “john kerry should thank bob schieffer”, the washington dispatch critiques last night’s moderator:
It was one of the poorest performances by a moderator since, well, Jim Lehrer. [link]
i agree. these big names–specifically lehrer and schieffer–were put to shame by gwen ifill, moderatess of the vice-presidential debate. she was the only one with balls enough to pose tough questions to both candidates (and she was the female one).
cliff may at the corner laments that all three moderators for the presidential debates are voting for kerry. [link]. surely that’s how the UNDENIABLY FAIR policy question, “do you believe homosexuality is a choice?” came up this time. good one, bob!
on the other hand, NRO’s tim graham wasn’t happy with ifill’s performance either. [link]
