Gilbert Arenas will re-sign with the Washington Wizards.
Gilbert Arenas has agreed to re-sign with the Washington Wizards for $111 million over six years, essentially taking millions less so that his team could have more financial flexibility…
“It’s a relief,” Arenas told the Washington Times. “It was a burden at the same time. Your whole city is depending on you, wondering if you’re going to make the right decision. I’m a franchise player and sometimes franchise players need to make franchise decisions.“

Wow! That is something else!
Still, he is going to get $111 MILLION!!!! Not bad even after giving up $16 mil.
But the thought of someone being willing to take less is pretty impressive.
I like Mr. Wilbon’s thoughts on the matter…

Tom,
Glad to see you’re reading the DC papers still!
Yeah, I liked Wilbon’s comments also. Arenas is certainly going to have to perform and not get injured.
Nice find on the article. I liked what he said as well.
