Gmail Spam Increase
Am I the only one getting a ton more spam in my Gmail account?
It’s been going on for the past couple weeks. The spam filter used to miss something once every couple weeks (if that often). Now I get about 10 or more spams each day.

I get plenty of spam on a regular basis, only a few messages make it through a month into my actual inbox though.
I noticed that the other day with gmail. ALOT more spam has been hitting my account, but the spam filter catches it all.
It does seem like an increase over the past couple/few weeks though.
i have been getting a lot more in the last few weeks–maybe the last two months. gmail seems to do especially poorly at siphoning off the paypal emails that keep coming from “wachovia.com” and that have professional sounding subject lines like this:
“Paypal Security - Account Informations!!!!!!”
i mean, who falls for these anymore? so why doesn’t my spam filter catch them? my theory is that, to get out of beta, they have to open the floodgates to the spammers.
I was at work and almost fell out of my chair because I loaded up gmail and I had over 800 spam messages! And then…I realized my coworker was still logged in. Whew!
I agree, during the last two weeks I have started to receive a lot more spam to my gmail. Not cool.
I also have been getting a lot of spam lately. It’s strange, because I have never really gotten spam in Gmail until now.
