Hillary Clinton 2012
You know it’s going to happen.
It finally hit me today when I saw this post on Ace of Spades, which opens with harsh criticism of Obama from Robert Reich. Yeah, the former Labor Secretary under Bill Clinton. Hmmm…
Is it really a stretch that Hillary could step down as Sec of State in a couple years to pursue some Clinton Global Initiative nonsense and then get into a primary fight with Obama in 2012?
If the Dems tank hard in 2010 and Obama looks weak in 2011, Hillary will be the Dem 2012 nominee. Take it to the bank.

Is Biden going to be checking Obama’s campaign bus tire tread in 2012? (posted february 11, 2009)
plus, you have maryland going to the elite eight as a 10 seed, so you are clearly not up on current events in the EEUU.
Note to Doug: Reich endorsed Obama over Hillary from beginning. Connection non-existent.
Chung,
Correct. It was the connection that made me think about Hillary, not that Reich was doing Hillary’s dirty work.
Rereading the post, obviously the “Hmmm…” doesn’t belong. My train of thought was more “Hmmm…prominent Democrats forming a circular firing squad, how long before Clinton loyalists start knocking down Obama?” not “Reich is doing the bidding of Bill to raise Hillary’s chances.”

Apparently so.

I could see it. This is the woman that emerged from one of the most scandal ridden administrations to run for senate in a non-native state and then 8 years later for President. All the while her ambitions widely assumed.
It would certainly be an interesting scenario.
