Jason McElwain - Video

While I’m on sports today, here’s a video from last year’s NBA Finals about Jason McElwain.

Jason McElwain is an autistic teenager who was a student-manager of his high school’s basketball team. You’ve got to watch the clip for the amazing story.

doug the key word in your post is “last year.” this news is as old as your cherry cobbler recipe.

    Briant,

Cherry cobler? You must mean the “sour cream apple pie” recipe…hmmmmm…I’m getting hungry.

But, yeah, this is old news. I hadn’t blogged it yet though and there are probably some people who hadn’t seen the NBA Finals footage (I hadn’t until today).

Yes, and for those of us with autistic children this was quite heartwarming. [unrelated content removed]

    Steve,

Thanks for sharing how this story affected you.

As for how the Republicans relate to autism…they don’t, so please stop trying to score political points with a beautiful story like J-Mac’s.

I’m not trying to score political points with you Doug. You’re too far gone.

No, Steve, you are “too far gone.”

I posted an inspirational story about a kid with autism. A wonderful story. A story where love, hard work, chance, and the human spirit all sort of intersected in the final four minutes of a basketball game.

And how do you react to this touching video? You attempt to litter the comments section with insults towards Republicans.

    Grow up.
