Mayor Nagin: Mexican Workers Not Wanted

I don’t know how I missed this. From an October 11 CBS News report on the rebuilding in New Orleans (with Mayor Ray Nagin):

PITTS: At a recent and often contentious town hall meeting with small-business owners, New Orleans Major Ray Nagin was applauded when he asked this question.

Mayor C. RAY NAGIN (Democrat, New Orleans): How do I make sure that New Orleans is not overrun by Mexican Workers?

This guy is seriously one of the dimmest lights ever elected to political office.

(and imagine if a Republican had said that…they would be rightly criticized)

whoopsy… guess he isn’t exactly going after the latino votes if he is going to be re-elected. he may even be dumb enough to actually try and run again.
