Mike Huckabee is Inhumane
He wants to punish children because of their parents’ sins. He is not in favor of giving Pell grants to illegal immigrants.
Kudos to Stephanopoulos for bringing this up.

huckabee is peaking too soon. the buzz has drawn attention to his embarrassing record on taxes and (as you point out) his completely silly record on immigration.
asking a foreigner to pay out-of-state tuition at your state’s universities is not unconscionable, even if they excel in high school (after all, it’s not that hard to do in america). if an honor student from alabama or oklahoma can’t get in-state tuition in arkansas, an illegally-present foreigner shouldn’t be entitled to it. the kid has already received a free secondary education, paid for by american taxpayers. he can pay out of state tuition if he wants to attend one of the state’s universities.
mike huckabee’s position on this is ridiculous, just like his claim that his surge in the iowa polls is divinely inspired:
commentary from article6blog:
lol. general. election. train. wreck.
also, i watched a fox hannity/colmes interview with dick morris monday. i’ve never liked dick morris. he’s always seemed like such a classless person…your textbook political scumbag. this interview, though, was worse than usual because he was presented as a neutral commentator, but he clearly has it in for romney, repeating tired, unconvincing reasons why romney “won’t win.” clearly, morris would like to see a huck/rudy presidential ticket. then i found this politico article describing his connections to huckabee. go figure.
Travis,
Since your sharp senses noticed something I missed (Dick Morris’ fetish for a Giuliani/Huckabee ticket), you will especially appreciate this:
Giuliani/Huckabee “Civil Union” Solemnized by Dick Morris?
And as a side note regarding Dick Morris, I think he is going into emergency meltdown mode. Hillary The Inevitable is actually in trouble.
If Hillary doesn’t get the Democratic nomination then he is useless on TV (his entire gig is predicated on his anti-Clinton schtick) and so his only hope is clinging on to the GOP nominee; and he’s advised Giuliani and Huckabee.
Someone like Romney or McCain as the nominee is useless for his career.
[...] a follow up to doug’s post. kind of like turning the commentary “on” on your DVD of the primary season: [...]
