MSN Spaces
Microsoft recently entered the blogging world with “MSN Spaces,” a Blogger-type service where users can create their own blogs.
As is being reported, however, Microsoft apparently owns anything that their users publish:
Unlike rival services such as Blogger, MSN Spaces forces new users to grant Microsoft permission to “use, copy, distribute, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, reproduce, edit, modify, translate and reformat†their Blog postings.
Ouch.
Much better to register a domain name and start your own blog using a tool such as Wordpress (what we use here at all-encompassingly).
Speaking of which, over the next month we are going to be adding several tutorial videos, including a few showing how those unaccustomed to blogging can enter the foray. If you have specific interest that you’d like addressed, shoot us an email at tutorials@all-encompassingly.com
