Polar bears drowning in global warming hysteria

Bernie takes time to stretch before swimming to rescue his friends from their melting ice. It will be a long, arduous trek but he plans on eating a few baby seals along the way.
Ok. So, when I see ads like this on CNN I wonder why people are willing to believe all this global warming propaganda.
I commented on Ryan’s post:
How long do people think polar bears have been around?
According to both fossil and DNA evidence, the polar bear diverged from the brown bear roughly 200 thousand years ago; fossils show that between 10 and 20 thousand years ago the polar bear’s molar teeth changed significantly from those of the brown bear.
Which means that they’ve weathered colder and hotter temperatures.
And for the unconvinced who still falsely believe that polar bears are going to disappear because Al Gore is using more electricity than an industrial crack house, here’s something to chew on:
The polar bear is the most carnivorous member of the bear family, and the one that is most likely to prey on humans as food.
Hmmmm…delicious.

Bernie was lost. He had set out to find his polar bear friends but wandered off the trail to chase a wounded reindeer. Luckily he eventually stumbled upon a camp of environmental activists. After destroying everything and eating the survivors he realized he should have first asked for a map of the Arctic.

two thumbs up, doug. first, because you gave us polar bear calisthenics. second, because of this line:
instant classic.
i second travis’ comments. i also enjoyed it because it was in english.
i think people really need 2 start thinking about global warming its serious we need to be more careful of what we are doing 2 our planet cute little polar bears are dieing
u r so right 2 mention the polar bears. some r dieing. but the 1s that r doing aerobics survive, which is kind of like humans: all the 1s that eat fast food 2 much die, but the healthy 1s live longer. what is unfair about that?
There are thousands of species that have become extinct now and long before man appeared on planet earth. (the dinosaurs for example). There is no evidence that humans are causing extinction of the polar bear nor any other species today. And even if humans were the cause, are we not part of “nature” and could be a natural cause of extinction of other species? How is it any different than the near extinction of the American eagle which occurred primarily BEFORE industrialization of the U.S.
Likewise there are constantly newly created species despite man’s existence on the planet.
Don’t fall for the lies in “Inconvenient Truth” by Al Gore. His story is so full of misinterpretations of statistics and he is so misinformed that the movie isn’t worth the film it’s printed on.
The earth has experienced numerous hot and cold spells (ice ages). Don’t forget that about 10,000 years ago the polar ice cap extended as far south as all of the northern states of the U.S.
Also, Mars’s ices caps are also showing signs of melting which would indicate that the primary cause could be our Sun and its change in intensity.
If polar bears are becoming extinct, it may be that that is the way God wanted it to be and not because I don’t drive a Prius!!!
I noticed that all the replys are from 07, is there any new information on recient deaths?
