“Sacred Trust”? Words. Just Words.

Broken Obama campaign promise #5,221.

Or perhaps just another semantics issue.

Yes it is a semantics issue. He is “considering” the plan.

Allow me to save all-encompassingly some time in the future.

Obama will bring just about any idea on the table, even some he ran against. He has the ENFP personality type; he tends to perceive instead of judge. He appoints a former rival (Hillary) to a key position. He sought the counsel of John McCain on Iraq.

Yeah Travis, it’s obvious that cutting VA funding isn’t a strong idea, but President Obama recognizes that it is a sound idea.

  3. Why would he even consider the plan though?

He talks throughout the campaign about “the care veterans deserve,” clearly conveying a commitment to improve the military veteran health care situation.

He stands at a podium with the slogan, “A Sacred Trust.” This is the semantics issue that is being discussed.

For Obama to then consider a plan that is reprehensible to veterans groups and utterly rejected as a possibility by congressmen…how can you defend that?

This is the pattern that people not hopped up on Obama Koolaid are really surprised about. It seems that this guy doesn’t mean much of what he says.
