Safari browser on Windows XP and Vista

The web browser “war” just got more interesting!

Steve Jobs just announced that Apple will release a Windows version of their browser, Safari.

Update: I downloaded it, installed it, and…it really, really stinks. Wow. I can’t believe they announced this like it was a big deal. Browsing the comments of other blogs it appears that my experience isn’t unique. It is incredibly slow. I feel like I’m on dial-up using Safari.

  1. Seems to work fast enough for me. Biggest problem though is that it is forcing the OS X interface which just doesn’t seem as smooth on a PC. Also…anti-aliased text on the internet is simply not as cool. Nice idea, but I prefer my text crisp and pixel specific.
