The Military vs. The Media
I’m guessing it has been mentioned elsewhere, but I find it fascinating the difference between the oft-vilified military and the “we uphold your freedoms” media.
With all the noise recently regarding the Plame leaks, it has made me think: military men and women are willing to give their lives for higher ideals; the media (with the exception of Judith Miller) isn’t even willing to endure legal trouble or jailtime to fight for theirs.
An interesting thought for the next time the media gets on a high horse about “fighting the good fight” for us, the people.
