we are all giants fans today
thank you to the giants for beating the cheaters and blocking them from making history with a 19-0 season.
i’m especially happy for michael strahan, who has always been a class act.
in contrast, belichick showed his lack of class again by knowingly crossing the field with time stopped and :01 second left on the clock so he could get the obligatory handshake out of the way, then leaving the field to avoid watching the giants kneel down on the last play of the game.
belichick, you were classy to the end.
update: here is the miracle play
update II: here is brady laughing off the idea of the patriots only scoring 17 points against the giants in the super bowl. in fact, the pats only managed 14.
i poke fun, but at the same time, i am very impressed with the class of the patriots players, especially tom brady and randy moss, who took the devastating loss like adults (in contrast to their coach).

That tears it!
I turned into somewhat of a Pats fan when I went to high school in New England. It got a little less fun when they started winning–I guess New England sports fans are much more comfortable in mourning.
Anyway, i still remained a casual fan of the pats even this season. After the cheating crap went down, I could chalk it up as a bizarre incident and could even accept the idea that it was out of Belichick’s hands.
But tonight when he refused to watch the final down, I wanted to puke. I’m used to losing, but generally prefer to do it with some amount of dignity.
And I agree. Kudos to Strahan and Manning (whom I derided as the Giants’ main stumbling block during the regular season). I think everyone got their just desserts.
